General Specifications

Flow Cell Assembly Ranges Available

High Flow Cell 2 - 30 LPM
Standard Flow Cell 20 cc/min. - 6 LPM
Low Flow Cell 1 - 250 cc/min.

Operational Features

Direct Flow Readings - The easy to read LCD read-out on the Control Unit (base) instantly displays flow readings.

Auto Averaging - A switch on the Control Unit provides Auto-Averaging of the successive flow readings.

Flow Delete Function - A Flow Delete switch allows the user to delete erroneous flow readings from the Auto-Averaging function. For example, if a double bubble or other obvious malfunction is observed, that reading can be subtracted from the auto-average and will automatically reset the average to its previous value.

Programmable Update - The micro-processor electronic design allows programmable updates to assure a long useful service life.

Mechanical Features

Pulsation Damper - The pulsation damper removes pulsation from the flow source for higher accuracy sampling as well as eliminating pulsations back into the flow source during bubble generation.

Ring Bubble Generator - The Ring Bubble Generator lifts an even soap film from the soap reservoir and provides consistent bubble generation.

Bubble Breaker - The Bubble Breaker design allows the soap film to be drawn away form the end of the flow tube before bursting. This improves flow measurement accuracy by minimizing film residue within the flow tube.

Programmable Update - The electronics design allows programmable updates to assure a long, useful service life.

Accuracy - Better than 0.5%

SKC Cyclones for Respirable Dust and Cassette Holder Specifications Cyclone Sampling The ACGIH, International Organization for Standards, and European Standard Committee (ISO/CEN) specify a collection efficiency curve with a median cut-point at 4.0 mm. When performing respirable dust sampling with cyclones, it is important to adjust the flow rate to give the closest possible match over the whole curve (not just a single point). The ACGIH/ISO/CEN curve (Soderholm Convention) requires using the flow rate which minimizes the bias of the cyclone separation from the convention curve. A leading aerosol research organization has calibrated the SKC aluminum cyclone and the results were carefully evaluated for bias over the whole curve, showing that 2.5 L/min* most closely matches the convention curve. The SK.C Aluminum Cyclone now meets the ACGIH/ISO/CEN Convention, at 25 L/min, specified in NIOSH method 0600 (4th ed.). The cyclone can also be operated at 1.9 L/min to meet the BMRC (British Medial Research Council) curve, which stipulates a 5 mm cut-point. *As previously published, a flow rate of 2.6 L/min will give a 4 mm cut-point, however, 2.5 L/min will give a better match over the entire curve. Filter Cassette Holder The Filter Cassette Holder may be used with 37 mm cassettes directly, or with 25 mm cassettes using the O-ring adapters supplied. Operation 2-or-3 piece 37mm Cassettes without Cyclone - Orient the Cassette Holder so that the collar clip is at the top. Pull back the spring-loaded hold-down plate, and place the loaded cassette over the large hold on the holder so that the cassette inlet is facing down over the hold. Position the small hole in the hold-down plate over the cassette outlet. Connect the dark rubber tubing (with adapter) through the hold-down plate and into the cassette outlet. 2-or 3-piece 25 mm Cassettes without Cowl - Insert the cassette into the O-ring supplied, and position the O-ring at the joint between sections of the cassette. Position the cassette In the holder and attach the tubing as described above. 25 mm Cassette with Cowl - Remove the inlet piece of a 3- piece 25 mm cassette. Insert the cowl and apply a Cassette Sealing Band. Slip the O-ring (supplied) over the cassette and position the O-ring at the joint between the cassette and the cowl. Insert the cowl through the large hole in the holder until the O-ring contacts the holder. Continue with the hold-down plate and tubing as described above.

Andersen N6 Bioaerosol Kit

Specifications
The Andersen 1 ACFM Viable Particle Sampler is constructed with six aluminum stages that are held together by three spring clamps and gasketed with 0-ring seals (Figure 2). Each impactor stage contains multiple precision drilled orifices. When air is drawn through the sampler, multiple jets of air in each stage direct any airborne particles toward the surface of the agar collection surface for that stage. The size of the jet orifices is constant for each stage, but is smaller in each succeeding stage. The range of particle sizes collected on each stage depends on the jet velocity of the stage and the cutoff of the previous stage. Any particle not collected on the first stage follows the air stream around the edge of the Petri dish to the next stage.

Each stage contains 400 orifices with diameters ranging from 1.81 mm on the first stage to 0.25 mm on the sixth stage. Each stage has a removable glass Petri dish with metal cover. The exhaust section of each stage is approximately 19 mm larger in diameter than the Petri dish which allows unimpacted particles to go around the dish and into the next stage (Figure 3).

The Andersen Six-Stage Viable Particle Sampler and Vacuum pump include their own carrying cases for ease of portability (Figure 4). Case dimensions are 9 3/8" wide x 8 3/4" high x 5" deep. Complete sampler and vacuum pump weights including carrying cases are 6 1/4 pounds and 12 pounds respectively.

A constant air sample flow of 1 ACFM is provided by a continuous vacuum pump. Flow rate is controlled by an adjustable valve on the pump and periodic calibration is recommended.

ALLERGENCO AIR SAMPLER - MK-3 SPORE TRAP
PROVIDES BIG MACHINE PERFORMANCE IN A SMALL PACKAGE
HIGH-TECH SIMPLIFIES AIR SAMPLING
Our goal is to combine research and support for the allergy and environmental professions with the best possible publications and equipment. Having provided the reference book, SAMPLING AND IDENTIFYING ALLERGENIC POLLENS AND MOLDS (1990) by E. Grant Smith, to use in identifying airborne pollen grains and fugal spores in air samples, we offer what we believe is the best, simplest to operate, and most reasonably priced device for particulate collection.

The patented ALLERGENCO AIR SAMPLER MK-3 is a highly efficient "grab-type- volumetric air sampler that collects multiple, discrete samples on laboratory slides according to a programmed cycle established by the user and variable almost without limit. Samples are visible as thin traces I.I mm x 14.5 mm and 2 mm from center to center.
The user-friendly ALLERGENCO AIR SAMPLER MK-3:

Can be programmed to collect up to 24 discrete samples during any given unattended period. HIGHLY
EFFICIENT AND AUTOMATIC FEATURES MAKE IT ESPECIALLY USEFUL BOTH INDOORS AND OUTDOORS.
IS SIMPLE TO PROGRAM. The count down of sampling time and the time remaining until the
next sample is clearly visible in the LCD display.
WILL REPEAT PROGRAMMED CYCLE UNTIL CHANGED. Reprogramming is simple; changes
can easily be done on site without additional equipment.
IS SOLIDLY CONSTRUCTED with operating prompts printed inside lid to provide brief user
instructions.
USES REGULAR 25 MM X 75 MM LABORATORY SLIDES coated with hexsilicon or silicone
grease. The slide is placed on a solid brass holder during sampling and simply lifted off with the sample period is completed. ADD STAIN AND COVER SLIP AND YOU ARE READY TO START COUNTING. Permanent reference slides can be made with ease.
Is small (measures 6 1/8"[L] x 3 3/4"[W] x 5"IH]; weighs approximately 4 Ibs.). High efficiency and automatic features make it ESPECIALLY USEFUL FOR INDOOR SAMPLING. It is dependable and practical for indoor air quality investigators to perform quantitative analysis.
Samples 15 liters of air per minute and produces allergen counts 3 to 5 times higher than rotary samplers
operating under identical conditions. Sampling time can be changed quickly to any period from one minute to 24 hours with a single button located next to LCD read-out window.
Once activated, the selected cycle will be maintained until changed by operator. Replace the slide with a new one, move the slide carrier to its marked starting position, and eight times a day (every three hours) it can SAMPLE UNATTENDED OVER AN ENTIRE WEEKEND. Place a new slide in Friday; remove it on Monday. It will provide 24 samples, eight for each 24-hour period, and YOU WILL NEVER HAVE TO SKIP A WEEKEND OR DAY OFF WITHOUT SAMPLING AGAIN!

ISC's TMX410 and TMX412 multi-gas monitors detect and monitor up to four gases continuously and simultaneously. Users determine how the TMX is to be configured. The base model comes standard with Oxygen and LEL, with a choice of two additional sensors-Carbon Monoxide, Hydrogen Sulfide, Nitrogen Dioxide, Sulfur Dioxide or Chlorine. The optional sampling pump with 10 feet of tubing permits either unit to sample air in remote or confined areas up to 100 feet away. Both pumps are supplied with a charger.

The all new TMX412 comes standard with an internal hygiene board which calculates STEL and TWA values and stores up to 120 hours of data with four sensors installed. Software and cabling are included. A unique feature to the unit is also a single, large button control for all functions, making it easier to operate when wearing heavy or awkward clothing.
