CIHE calibrates, and verifies the performance of particle counters using best practice metrology methods. Our procedures are designed to maximize the repeatability, reproducibility, and accuracy of your particle counter. These procedures have been developed in accordance with key standards for particle counters in accordance with ASTM F 328-98, Standard Practice for Calibration of an Airborne Particle Counter Using Monodisperse Particles.
- Full multi-point calibration and adjustment of air counters from 0.3um - 10um
- NIST traceable calibration utilizing Polystyrene Latex spheres by Duke Scientific.
- Calibration utilizing the latest instrumentation from TSI.
The reproducibility of our measurements is achieved through proper design and verified through standard reference counters and appropriate count calibration procedures. Although a particle counter's absolute accuracy is nearly impossible to control since it is dependent on the exact composition of the particle being measured, the particle sizing accuracy of our products is controlled through the calibration methods outlined in standards for calibration of particle counters with near monodisperse particles.
